This coat is nice. I got it for a good price- the red was the best deal at the time and since I just need it for a week I went with what was the best deal. It's a bit of a dull red- like no sheen. I got a small. I'm right under 5' 3" and 125 lbs. The coat is a little too large for me. I think an x-small would fit better but the price difference was too great for me to feel happy about swapping it out. It wasn't SO huge that I can't wear it tho, so I'm just gonna keep it. It appears to be very warm and it will work for a week! The buttons are sewed too shoddily. Only after three or four times of wearing this parka, two out of five buttons were missed already. You need to think about that before you wear this. The zipper is very stiff, at first. Almost unable to zip it up or, by any chance if succeeded, zip it down. After applied a few drops of oil, it got better. This parka is not really covering your neck enough. You need to buy a scarf or something, if you need full coverage heat-protection. Regardless of all these things, it does wearable. But I didn't expected that I would get soon-to-be buttonless parka when I was paying $350+ for it.Great coat for waiting for trains and busses in NYC frigid weather. It's a well made quality jacket. It keeps me warm and dry and is flattering and attractive on. I'm size 12-14 depending on brand, and large fit me slightly snug but I prefer it not to look bulky to wear to work. I had to put a tiny bit of oil on the zipper as it was sometimes hard to get it to go in all the way to pull up. The oil helped that issue. I'm happy with the purchase and feel it has the higher end look at a reasonable price which is what I was searching for. Not sure if it matters but I bought mine from the Woolwich official store seller and the hood and zipper fit well and keep the cold out.I couldn't evaluate the parka using all the typical criteria because it never made it out of the house. While trying it on, evaluating the look and fit, and operating the two-way zipper, the little tang that is pressed onto the base of the zipper that fits into the zipper pull-sleeve slipped off its fabric base rendering the zipper useless. The zipper itself seemed sturdy, but the base fabric holding the tang at the end of the zipper appeared too thin and soft to provide good anchorage to resist the zipper action. It is too bad that what appears to be an otherwise good product is ruined by trying to save a few pennies in the mass production of the zipper installed. The zipper make on this item was "Talon".I ordered this to compare to another Woolwich Parka which I ended up keeping (it was a Small and longer in the torso--covering more bottom area on me). This one is fantastic. I ordered an X-Small but if I would have kept it, I would have exchanged for a Small, which would have fit perfectly. Nice fur collar on this which gives extra insulation. Me: 5'4", 136 lbs. and 32D.this jacket keeps warm but is not easy to use with all the buttons. it definitely keeps guarded from the sf wind and chilly mornings but I definitely wouldnt take it to the snow or somewhere like Moscow. there are far better jackets for a better price.I did not like the jacket at all! It is too boxy unless it is what you are looking for. I ordered a size medium and the fitting is wired! Too short, too boxy, too loose overall except the shoulders!! I couldn’t understand the style.Don’t take me wrong I love another Woolrich jacket I have. Just this one is not stylish at all.I don’t recommend this product. And the seller even worse!! I return the jacket and they have not refund my money yet! Don’t buy with that seller eitherYou get what you pay for, 550 duck down not 650 goose down. Good quality, I owned a hooded jacket for 30 years, gave it away because it shrank after being cleaned so many times.
